WILSON, N.C – The Barton women's soccer team (4-3-2, 1-2-1) fell to rival Mount Olive (4-2-3, 3-2-1) by a 1-0 score Wednesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
The Trojans scored the lone goal of the match just 32 seconds into the contest when Yaneli Sanchez (Garner, N.C.) found the back of the net off a pass from Addison Dangler (Manassas, Va.), who was credited with the assist. Sanchez now has five goals on the year.
Mount Olive held a 14-7 advantage in shots taken while Samantha Gildner (Natrona Heights, Pa.) earned the shutout victory in goal after earning a pair of saves.

Taylor Primack (Lindenhurst, Ill.) suffered the loss despite allowing just one score to go along with a pair of stops.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan in a Conference Carolinas match on Saturday beginning at Noon in Murfreesboro, N.C., while Mount Olive hosts UNC Pembroke on Wednesday, October 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
