WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (6-1, 3-1) upended Mount Olive (2-4-3, 1-2-3), 2-0, in a penalty-marred affair in a match-up between two Conference Carolinas rivals Tuesday evening at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.

Hayden Summerfield (Norwich, ENGLAND). Migliarotti scored just 11:59 into the match while Summerfield found the back of the net just inside the box in the 76th minute to round out the scoring.

Gabriel Slemer Lopes (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) assisted on both goals and now leads the team in goals scored (four), assists (six) and total points (14).
Barton held a 12-9 advantage in shots taken while junior goalkeeper
Steingrimur Gunnarsson (Grenivik, ICELAND) tallied three saves and earned the shutout victory – his third of the season – while Mount Olive's Axel Engren (Sundsvall, SWEDEN) suffered the loss despite four stops on the night.
The contest was suspended then ended with 13:53 remaining in the contest.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Saturday beginning at 3:00 p.m., in a league contest while Mount Olive hosts Virginia State on Wednesday, October 16, at 4:00 p.m.
