WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (4-6-4, 1-5-3) drew a scoreless tie with Converse (7-4-3, 5-1-3), 0-0, Saturday afternoon on 2024 Senior Day in a Conference Carolinas contest at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
Barton held an 18-8 edge in shots taken while both goalkeepers, senior
Taylor Primack (Lindenhurst, Ill.) and Converse's Gabriella Gudeman (Clover, S.C.), earned shutout victories.
Primack stopped five shots for her sixth shutout on the year while Gudeman made eight saves on the afternoon.
Barton remained winless (0-5-3) in its last eight contests while Converse is now 4-0-2 in its last six matches.
Barton hits the road to take on rival Mount Olive on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C., in a leauge contest while Converse hosts Emmanuel in a rescheduled match on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
