WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (6-3-2, 3-3-2) and Converse (8-1-5, 5-0-4) played each other to a 0-0 tie Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest and the Bulldogs' Senior Day at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Valkyries, who remained without a loss in nine league matches this year, held a 19-8 edge in shots taken and continued their unbeaten streak dating back to the first game of the season. The Valkyries lead the Northwest Division of the conference as well.

Steingrimur Gunnarsson (Grenivik, ICELAND) made seven saves for his fourth shutout of the year while Converse's Mateo Sanchez (Anderson, S.C.) stopped a pair of shots and earned the shutout as well.
Barton hits the road to take on Mount Olive on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., in a rivalry contest match in Mount Olive, N.C., while Converse hosts Emmanuel Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., in a rescheduled league affair.
