WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (3-12, 2-7) made it two victories in a row with a 3-2 triumph over King (4-7, 2-5) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs won over the Tornado by scores of 26-24, 25-13, 21-25, 15-25 and 15-8 and were able to hold off the visitors in the victory.

Henly Sleight (Jackson, Mich.) led the way with 18 kills and 15 digs while senior right side hitter
Lauryn Pitt (Greenville, N.C.) added 16 kills in the win.

Hailey Strey (Cape Coral, Fla.) and
Isabella Ream (York, Pa.) dished out 32 and 21 assists, respectively, and senior libero
Lilly Meyer (Greencastle, Ind.) finished with a season-high 31 digs and the Bulldogs finished with eight service aces in the win.
King was led by Gracia Love (Greenback, Tenn.) with 14 kills and Kylie Love (Oviedo, Fla.) tallied a double-double – 22 assists and 18 digs – but the Tornado lost their third straight contest.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan on Tuesday in Murfreesboro, N.C., in a league contest beginning at 6:00 p.m., while King hosts Converse on Tuesday starting at 7:00 p.m.
