WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (4-5-1, 2-3) scored early and often in a 6-2 victory over King (3-6, 0-4) Saturday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium in a Conference Carolinas match.

Gabriel Slemer Lopes (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) scored a pair of goals and added two assists as the Bulldogs raced to a 5-1 lead at halftime and cruised to the win.
Slemer Lopes opened the scoring with a penalty kick at the 16:03 mark of the first half, assisted on the Bulldogs' third goal with a corner kick and scored after stealing the ball from a defender and found the back of the net for a 4-0 advantage just over 27 minutes into the contest.

Zeph Rico-Jaramillo (Orange County, Calif.) all scored their second goals of the season as the Bulldogs have found the back of the net 10 times in the past two contests.

Tommy Migliarotti (Milan, ITALY) scored on a free kick to round out the scoring in the 77th minute – his first of the season – while junior goalkeeper
Lundon Danford (Toronto, Ontario, CANADA) earned the win in goal for the home team.
King's Patrick Poku (Bristol, Va.) and Eric Swain (Marietta, Ga.) each scored for the visitors while Gauthier Lumale (Biscarrosse, FRANCE) suffered the loss in goal.
Barton remains at home to take on rival Mount Olive on Wednesday beginning at 7:00 p.m., in a league contest while King faces Belmont Abbey on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., in Bristol, Tenn.
