HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (0-1-1) fought Coker (0-0-1) to a 0-0 tie Sunday evening in a non-conference regional affair Sunday afternoon at the Cobras Athletic Field.
Coker held a 12-10 advantage in shots taken while senior
Cara Davis (Angier, N.C.) earned the shutout for the Bulldogs after stopping five shots on the evening.
The Cobras' goalkeeper, Rhyan Parkin (Huntersville, N.C.), also garnered a shutout, totaling seven stops in Coker's season opener.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Saturday, September 16, when the Bulldogs travel to Mount Olive, N.C., to take on Mount Olive beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Barton will take on Wake Tech, a two-year institution, at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
Meanwhile, Coker faces Erskine in Due West, S.C., on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
