GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (4-4) split its final two matches Saturday on the last day of Lander University's Redderson Invitational at Finis Horne Arena. The Bulldogs defeated Lincoln Memorial, 3-2, before falling to Elizabeth City State by a 3-1 score.

The Bulldogs rallied with victories in sets four and five to defeat the Lady Railsplitters (6-6) by scores of 16-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14 and 25-11.
Barton was led by senior outside hitter
Allison Gambill (Hickory, N.C.) with 17 kills while junior outside hitter
Henly Sleight (Jackson, Mich.) added 12 kills in the victory. Both players also totaled nine digs – one off a double-double – while senior outside hitter
Madison Greene (Angier, N.C.) added 26 assists in the win.
Lincoln Memorial was led by Kristen Moehring (Palm City, Fla.) with a match-high 18 kills and Olivia Snyder (Knoxville, Tenn.) produced 34 digs in the losing effort.
Elizabeth City State 3, Barton 1
The Vikings (3-9) won over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-27, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-20 to snap a three-match losing streak.
Elizabeth City State was led by Elizabeth Kellum (Jacksonville, N.C.) with 13 kills in addition to 25 assists and seven digs and the Vikings hit .293 for the match in the win.
Gambill and Sleight totaled 15 and 13 kills, respectively, and Gambill moved into seventh-place on the Bulldogs' all-time kills' list with 1,180 while junior setter
Hailey Strey (Cape Coral, Fla.) finished with 20 assists and six assists in the setback.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., on the road against Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C.
