TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (7-6, 4-2) couldn't hold three four-goal leads in falling in overtime to North Greenville (8-5, 5-1), 12-11, in a key Conference Carolinas game at Pepsi Stadium.
The Crusaders' Emma Mayew (Clayton, Del.) scored the match-winner just 30 seconds into the extra frame as North Greenville rallied from deficits of 6-2, 8-4 and 9-5 to take the victory and remain in the hunt for the league regular season title.
Mayew and Dani O'Meara (Canton, Ga.) both scored four goals as North Greenville won its second straight match.

Samantha Serio (Long Island, N.Y.) finished with a team-high three goals while junior attacker
MacKenzie Camp (Rochester, N.Y.) totaled five points – two goals and three assists – in the losing effort. The Bulldogs held a 28-19 edge in shots taken despite the setback.
In goal, North Greenville's Tori Smith (Johns Creek, Ga.) earned the victory after stopping nine shots while freshman
Avery Gandolf (Medina, Ohio) suffered the loss for Barton.
Barton returns home to take on Belmont Abbey in a league contest on Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m., while North Greenville faces Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C., on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
