WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (5-17) notched its second consecutive five-set triumph with a 3-2 victory over Tusculum (9-16) Friday evening at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs prevailed by scores of 26-24, 21-25, 19-25, 25-23 and 15-12 as the home team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win sets four and five.

Jack Sandahl (Gloucester, Va.) with a career-high 15 kills while sophomore middle blocker
Benjamin Wiechert (Suffolk, Va.) added 12 kills as the Bulldogs avenged a season-opening loss to the Pioneers on the road.

Seth Deppe (Mukwonago, Wis.) tallied a double-double – 22 assists and 11 digs – and the Bulldogs finished with 11 blocks as a team in the win.
For Tusculum, Colby Landry (Belle Rose, La.) spearheaded its attack with a program-record 26 kills while the Pioneers held a 63-50 edge in kills and totaled 15 service aces in the setback. Tusculum's Jaden Bramhall (Tucson, Ariz.) tallied 50 assists in the losing effort.
Barton remains at home to take on Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Tusculum travels to Mount Olive, N.C., to face Mount Olive on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., as well.
