WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (3-4) tried to rally but fell short to Young Harris (5-4), 10-8, Wednesday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Mountain Lions' Ella Hancock (Johns Creek, Ga.), Morgan Lewis (Easton, Md.) and Ashlyn Fraley (Marietta, Ga.) all scored twice as Young Harris fought back from a 3-1 deficit in the first period for their second straight victory.

Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) led the home team with a match-high three goals and junior attacker
MacKenzie Camp (Rochester, N.Y.) added a pair of assists in the setback.
With the score tied at six, Lewis scored what would be the match-winner with 49 seconds left in the third period while the score started a 4-0 run for the visitors and Young Harris was able to hold on for the win.

Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) suffered the loss despite six saves on the day.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Central, S.C., to take on Southern Wesleyan beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Young Harris hosts Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday, March 15, at 4:00 p.m.
