WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (5-5, 2-1) suffered a 20-6 loss to Mount Olive (5-4, 3-0) in a battle of unbeatens in Conference Carolinas play Thursday evening at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Trojans' Ali Davis (Hampstead, N.H.) led all scorers with five goals to go along with a pair of assists while Meagan Maxwell (Hamburg, N.Y.) scored four times as the visitors cruised to the easy victory in a contest between two rivals.

Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) scored twice for the Bulldogs in the losing effort. Mount Olive held a 34-21 advantage in shots taken while both teams totaled 22 ground balls on the day.
Mount Olive surrendered the first goal of the match then responded with three straight scores to take the lead for good with Maxwell tallying the game-winning goal.
In goal, Mount Olive's Claire Hagen (Prior Lake, Minn.) made nine saves and was credited with the win while freshman
Avery Gandolf (Medina, Ohio) was tagged with the loss for Barton. The Bulldogs' back-up keeper, sophomore
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.), tallied eight stops as well.
Barton looks to bounce back against Emmanuel on Saturday, April 1, at Noon in Franklin Springs, Ga., in a league match while Mount Olive faces Chowan on Tuesday, March 28, at home starting at 4:00 p.m.
