GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Barton men's golf team finished fourth overall at the 2023 East Carolina University presented by Dogwood State Bank which concluded Tuesday at the Brook Valley Country Club.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 22 in NCAA Division II, carded an 888 (+24) on the par-72, 6,830-yard course while East Carolina won its tournament with an 882 (+18) over three rounds of play.
Barton was led by freshman
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.), who tied for eighth overall with a 219 (+3) after 54 holes of action. East Carolina University's Lucas Augustsson (Halmstad, SWEDEN) was the individual champion after firing a three-under 213. Barton junior
Harrison Wierse (Wilmington, N.C.) totaled a 222 (+6), good for a 14th-place tie.
Barton next competes in The Trojan on Monday, March 27, and Tuesday, March 28, at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.
