WILSON, N.C. – The Bulldogs men's golf team won the 2023 Barton Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Wilson Country Club. The second round finished up in the morning.
Barton, which won its second tournament this spring, finished with a five-over 869 on the par-72, 6,867-yard course and bested its own "B" Team by 27 strokes. The Bulldogs also captured their own home tournament championship for the fourth straight year.

Harrison Wierse (Wilmington, N.C.) took home individual honors thanks to his three-under 213 performance over 54 holes of play. Bulldogs' sophomore
Mitchell Soma (New Albany, Ohio) was runner-up with a 217 (+1).
Barton, ranked No. 22 in NCAA Division II, also took first place at the Spring Bulldog Clash on Monday, February 27, and Tuesday, February 28, at Pawleys Island, S.C.
Barton next competes at the East Carolina Intercollegiate on Monday, March 20, and Tuesday, March 21, at the Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
