DUE WEST, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (5-3, 2-0) pushed its winning streak to four games with a 63-62 victory over Erskine (1-7, 0-3) Saturday afternoon at Belk Arena and Red Myers Court in a Conference Carolinas contest.

Trevon Spencer (Columbia, N.C.) led all scorers with 23 points to go along with six three-pointers including the game-winning free throw with four seconds left to lift the Bulldogs to the win.

Jett Fortuny (Cary, N.C.) also scored in double figures, finishing with 12 points as the Bulldogs handed the Flying Fleet their fifth consecutive loss.
Erskine was paced by Christian Monroe (Mooresville, N.C.) and Jalen Robinson (Heath Springs, S.C.) with 15 and 14 points, respectively, but the home team hit just 50 percent (seven-of-14) from the charity stripe.
Barton also held a 43-30 advantage in rebounding in a contest that featured 13 ties and 12 lead changes.
Barton travels to Melbourne, Fla., to take on Florida Tech in the Florida Tech Winter Classic on Monday beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Erskine travels to Emory, Va., to play Emory & Henry on Tuesday starting at 2:00 p.m.
