WILSON, N.C. – The Barton football team (5-5, 3-5) suffered a 33-28 loss to Limestone (7-3, 7-1) Saturday evening in the regular season finale on Senior Night in a South Atlantic Conference Piedmont Division battle at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
Limestone quarterback Dustin Noller (Rock Hill, S.C.) passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns while Tre Stewart (Winston-Salem, N.C.) added 225 yards rushing and two scores as the Saints jumped out to a pair of 19-point leads – 26-7 and 33-14 – and was able to hold off the Bulldogs for the win.
Limestone, who finished with 569 yards of offense, clinched a share of the Piedmont Division title with Lenoir-Rhyne but lost the tie-breaker with the Bears due to an overtime loss earlier in the season at home in a head-to-head contest.

Jaquan Lynch (Rocky Mount, N.C.) passed for 172 yards and totaled four touchdowns – two on the ground and two through the air – while junior running back
Jordan Terrell (Ramseur, N.C.) added 136 yards rushing in the losing effort. Terrell also crossed the 5,000-yard rushing mark for his career.
Drew Dixon (Tucson, Ariz.) caught a pair of touchdown passes in the second quarter and Mikey Jones (Charlotte, N.C.) led all receivers with 157 yards on six catches for Limestone. The Saints held the ball for the final 5:47 of the contest to preserve the win. Barton junior linebacker

Barton hits the road to take on Erskine in the season finale in a league contest next Saturday, November 11, at Greenwood High School and J.W. Babb Stadium in Greenwood, S.C., beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Limestone takes on Emory & Henry next Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m., as well on the road.
