BELMONT, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (2-4-2, 2-3-1) lost to Belmont Abbey (5-2-3, 3-1-2), 1-0, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Alumni Field.
The Crusaders scored the lone goal of the contest just 6:48 into the match thanks to Logan Parry (Greensboro, N.C.), her league-leading 14th on the year. Sabrina Cunha (Hampton, Ontario, CANADA) was credited with the assist.
Belmont Abbey held a 21-6 edge in shots taken while Brianna Sroka (Raleigh, N.C.) earned the shutout victory after stopping two shots on the day. The shutout was also Sroka's second on the year.

Cara Davis (Angier, N.C.) suffered the loss despite allowing just one goal while making seven saves to keep the Bulldogs in the contest throughout.
Barton looks to bounce back at home on Wednesday against Chowan at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex beginning at 5:00 p.m., in a league contest while Belmont Abbey takes on Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C., on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
