BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (5-10, 1-6) fell to Lees-McRae (8-6, 5-2) by a 3-0 score in a Conference Carolinas match Friday night at Williams Gymnasium.
The Bobcats defeated the Bulldogs by scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 25-15.
Lees-McRae was led by Patrycja Rykala (Blachownia, POLAND) with 13 kills while Destiny Holley (Virginia Beach, Va.) added 11 kills as the Bobcats limited the Bulldogs to a -0.083 hitting percentage in the win. Madison Goins (Lowgap, N.C.) finished with 33 assists in the triumph as well.

Allison Gambill (Hickory, N.C.) led the visitors with five kills to go along with 12 digs while senior setter
Madison Greene (Angier, N.C.) totaled nine assists and five digs in the losing effort.
In the next round of Conference Carolinas matches on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m., the Bulldogs travel to Bristol, Tenn., to take on King while Lees-McRae remains at home to host Chowan.
