WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (2-3-3, 2-2-2) tied rival Mount Olive (2-2-5, 2-1-3), 1-1, Tuesday evening in a Conference Carolinas match at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
The Bulldogs and Trojans battled to a 1-1 tie for the second time this year: Saturday, September 16, in Mount Olive, N.C., was the other contest.
The Trojans opened the scoring at the 20:05 mark of the first half when Makenna Copley (Manheim, Pa.) finished off a shot in the box off a cross from the right by Tianna Hill (Durham, N.C.), who was credited with the assist. The goal was Copley's team-leading fourth of the season.

Kassie Krul (Rockport, Maine) also scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season when launched a free kick from the center of the field from about 30 yards out to tie the score at one in the 57th minute.

Barton hits the road to take on Belmont Abbey on Saturday beginning at Noon in a league match in Belmont, N.C., while Mount Olive faces Emmanuel in Franklin Springs, Ga., on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
