TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (5-5-5, 4-4-4) fought North Greenville (10-4-2, 9-1-2) to a 0-0 tie in the regular season finale and Conference Carolinas match Friday evening at the Pepsi Stadium.
The Crusaders came into the match as the league's Northwest Division Champions and the Bulldogs picked up a crucial tie with regards to position in the conference tournament.
North Greenville held a 14-5 edge in shots taken while both goalkeepers – Barton senior
Cara Davis (Angier, N.C.) and Haleigh Holland (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) – earned shutout victories. Davis stopped four shots for her fourth shutout of the year while Holland made three saves on the night.
Barton and North Greenville will now turn their attention to the 2023 Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Championship which begins with the opening round on Wednesday, November 1. The league office will announce the seeds this weekend.
