SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (6-13, 2-8) snapped a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 sweep of Converse (6-13, 5-5) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Hannan Gymnasium and the Weisiger Center.
The Bulldogs won by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22 and also picked up their first road league triumph on the season.

Allison Gambill (Hickory, N.C.) finished with a match-high 14 kills while junior outside hitter
Henly Sleight (Jackson, Mich.) added a dozen kills in the victory. Both players also totaled 10 digs on the afternoon for double-doubles.
The Bulldogs, as a team, notched seven service aces in the triumph.
Converse was paced by Evelyn Fitz (Columbia, S.C.) and Alayah Robertson (Clayton, N.C.) with eight kills each in the setback. The Valkyries also saw their three-match winning streak come to an end.
Barton returns home to take on Chowan in a league match at Wilson Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Converse hosts Mars Hill Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
