WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (3-4-4, 3-3-3) scored three first-half goals on its way to a 4-0 victory over Emmanuel (4-8, 4-4) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at rainy Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Kassie Krul (Rockport, Maine) scored twice – including the match-winner just 7:29 into the contest – to lead the Bulldogs to the victory. Krul now has a team-leading seven goals this year.

Lilly Moss (Prairieville, La.) notched her second goal of the season after intercepting a goalkeeper pass and finding the back of the net in the ninth minute before junior defender
Avery Vorholt-Alston (Fayetteville, N.C.) headed in a shot off the crossbar by senior midfielder
Anna Fretwell (Sneads Ferry, N.C.) at the 26:24 mark of the first half.
Fretwell was credited with the assist to round out the scoring in the first half. Krul capped the scoring in the 59th minute while senior goalkeeper
Cara Davis (Angier, N.C.) earned the shutout victory after stopping three shots on the day. The shutout was Davis' second on the season.
Barton held a 24-9 edge in shots taken while Emmanuel's Julia Styrmisdottir (Reykjavík, ICELAND) suffered the loss despite six saves for the match.
Barton travels to Florence, S.C., to take on Francis Marion in a league contest on Tuesday beginning at 4:30 p.m., while Emmanuel hosts Young Harris on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
