AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Barton men's golf team opened the Fall 2022 season with an eighth-place finish out of 15 teams at the Bearcat Fall Invitational which concluded with the third and final round Tuesday at the Forest Hills Golf Course.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 23 in NCAA Division II, finished with an 890 (+26) on the par-72, 7,073-yard course while sixth-ranked North Georgia won the 54-hole tournament with an 854 (-10). The Nighthawks rallied from seven strokes down entering the final round to take the victory.
Barton was led by junior
Kris Jackson (Greenville, N.C.), who tied for eighth overall with an even-par 216 over 54 holes of play. North Georgia's Noah Zediker (Panama City, Fla.) earned individual medalist honors after firing a six-under 216.
Barton returns to the links on Monday, September 19, and Tuesday, September 20, to compete in the Mizuno Intercollegiate at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
