WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (8-6, 6-1) rallied from a three-goal deficit in the final quarter to down Lees-McRae (1-12, 1-6), 13-12, in overtime Saturday morning in the home finale at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.

Renee Perkins (Apex, N.C.) scored the game-winner on a free-position shot at the 1:28 mark of the extra frame as the Bulldogs rallied to win after trailing by an 11-8 score early in the fourth quarter. Perkins scored three times for Barton, who stayed in the race for the Conference Carolinas regular season crown.

Avery Woodcock (Wilmington, N.C.) led all scorers with five goals while sophomore attacker
Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) totaled six points – two goals and four assists – in the win. Quinn leads the team with 35 goals.
Lees-McRae was led by five players with a pair of goals including Aspen Villas (Indianapolis, Ind.), who forced overtime tied a 12 with a score with 3:10 left in the final quarter. Lees-McRae's Sarah Hepburn (Quakertown, Pa.) had two goals and an assist in the setback.

Olivia LaValle (Peabody, Mass.) earned the victory after entering the contest in the third frame and stopping four shots. Lees-McRae's goalkeeper, Mckenzie Mellen (Dripping Springs, Texas), was tagged the loss. Mellen was credited with a pair of saves.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan on Wednesday, April 13, at 4:00 p.m., in a league contest while Lees-McRae hosts Converse on Senior Day on Saturday, April 16, at 1:00 p.m.
