WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (6-5, 4-0) sent its seniors off in style with an 18-5 victory over Converse (0-8, 0-5) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas game at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
The Bulldogs were led by a sophomore attacker
MacKenzie Camp (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) and freshman attacker
Reagan Kemppainen (Emerald Isle, N.C.) with three goals each as the Bulldogs stayed perfect in league play.
Barton raced to an 11-3 advantage at halftime and never looked back in keeping the Valkyries winless this season.

Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) scored twice to push her team-leading goal total to 30 on the year while freshman midfielder
Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.) dished out seven assists for the home team, who forced Converse into 28 turnovers. Matuza ranks first on the squad in assists (24) and points (45).
Converse's Cassidy O'Neill (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA) found the back of the net twice for the visitors. Barton senior goalkeeper
Felicity Borge (Frederick, Md.) earned the victory after totaling five saves while the Valkyries' Madalynn Brunner (Jacksonville, N.C.) took the loss in goal. Brunner made six saves on the day. In addition, Barton held sizable advantages in both shots taken (31-18) and ground balls (25-13) over Converse.
Barton moves on to play Belmont Abbey in a key conference match on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., in Belmont, N.C., while Converse takes on Erskine on Wednesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., in Due West, S.C.
