TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (0-5, 0-2) couldn't hold a 2-1 advantage and fell to North Greenville (6-3, 2-1) in five sets by a 3-2 score in a Conference Carolinas match Saturday afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium.
The Crusaders, winners of two straight contests, prevailed over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-15, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19 and 15-13. North Greenville scored the final three points in the final set to triumph over Barton.
North Greenville's Diego Rosich (Cupey, PUERTO RICO) finished with 17 kills while Sergio Carrillo (Caguas, PUERTO RICO) tallied a double-double – 42 assists and 10 digs – as the home team won the fourth and fifth sets to take the win.

Brandon Johnston (Hawkes Bay, NEW ZEALAND) totaled a match-high 19 kills and graduate student
Zach Reider (St. Charles, Mo.) added 15 kills in the losing effort.
The Bulldogs, which were hurt by 25 service errors, also received 48 assists from freshman setter
Seth Deppe (Mukwonago, Wis.). The Crusaders finished with 15 blocks as a team and hit .270 for the match in the win.
Barton looks to bounce back on Wednesday, February 23, against rival Mount Olive at home in a Conference Carolinas game beginning at 7:00 p.m., while North Greenville travels to Bristol, Tenn., to take on King on Tuesday in a league match at 7:00 p.m.
