WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (11-12, 9-10) won on Senior Night by a 75-67 score over Converse (5-19, 4-14) Friday night in Conference Carolinas action at Wilson Gymnasium.

Donaven Hairston (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Bulldogs with 19 points and hit four key treys while sophomore forward
Trevon Spencer (Columbia, N.C.) added 15 points as the home team was able to hold off the Valkyries for their second straight win.
Converse, which suffered its 10th straight setback, was led by Earl Burgess, III (Spartanburg, S.C.) with a game-high 21 points but the Valkyries came up just a bit short.
The game featured nine ties and seven lead changes. Trailing by a 56-55 score with 5:55 remaining in the contest, Hairston hit the game-winning three-pointer which started a 9-1 run and the Bulldogs stayed ahead the rest of the way.

Marcus Boykin (Clinton, N.C.) and senior forward
David Campbell (Severn, Md.) each scored 12 points and the Bulldogs hit 20-of-25 from the charity stripe in the victory as well.
Barton turns around to play Converse on Monday, February 14, at 5:00 p.m., in Spartanburg, S.C., in a Conference Carolinas game.
