TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (4-3, 2-0) remained unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play with an 85-69 victory over North Greenville (1-6, 0-2) Saturday afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium.
Sophomore guard
Marcus Boykin (Clinton, N.C.) led all scorers with 27 points including 19 points before intermission as the Bulldogs hit 10 three-pointers in the victory. Boykin hit six of those 10 treys as Barton opened the second half with a 12-0 run to take control. Barton held a 39-35 edge at halftime.

Trevon Spencer (Columbia, N.C.) added 17 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots as the visitors forced the home team into 19 turnovers in the win.
North Greenville's Caleb Williams (Atlanta, Ga.) finished with 17 points to lead the Crusaders in the setback. North Greenville also hit 10 three-pointers on the day. Junior guard
Donaven Hairston (Atlanta, Ga.) was the third Barton player to cross the double-digit mark for the Bulldogs, totaling 14 points.
In the next round of Conference Carolinas games, Barton returns home to host Chowan on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., at Wilson Gymnasium while North Greenville takes on Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, December 10, in Central, S.C.
