GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Barton men's golf team tied for eighth place at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Ironwood Country Club.
The Bulldogs shot an 893 (+29) on the par-72, 7,120-yard course while East Carolina University, an NCAA Division I school and the host institution, won the 54-hole tournament with a six-over 870, one shot better than William & Mary and Gardner-Webb.
Barton was led once again by junior
Harrison Wierse (Wilmington, N.C.). Wierse tied for 13th overall after three rounds of play with a three-over 219. Winthrop's Nick Mayfield (Rock Hill, S.C.) was the top individual after firing a five-under 211.
Barton wraps the fall 2022 campaign on Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25, in the Currahee Collegiate Invitational in Currahee Club in Toccoa, Ga.
