BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Barton women's soccer team (4-4, 4-2) wrapped up a three-game road stand with a 3-0 shutout victory over King (1-7-2, 1-3-2) in a Conference Carolinas match Sunday afternoon at Parks Field.
The Bulldogs got on the board just 6:04 into the contest when junior forward
Lexis Goldberg (Sanford, N.C.) found the lower right corner off the net off a quick pass from senior forward
Kassie Krul (Rockport, Maine) just outside the top of the box. Krul had intercepted a Tornado pass. The goal was Krul's second of the year.

Hailey Russell (Jacksonville, N.C.) and freshman forward
Corinne Denham (Farmville, N.C.) also notched their second goals of the year in the victory.
Russell launched a shot from about 35 yards out in the 21st minute before Denham rounded out the scoring with a lob shot over the Tornado goalkeeper three minutes into the second half. Sophomore midfielder
Rayven Folse (Portland, Texas) was credited with the assist for the Bulldogs, who held a 13-7 advantage in shots taken.
In goal, Barton senior
Rachel Cox (Wilson, N.C.) picked up her third save of the year while King's Kristal Garcia (Orlando, Fla.) suffered the loss. Garcia was credited with a pair of saves.
Barton returns home to take on Francis Marion in a league contest on Wednesday beginning at 4:30 p.m., while King hosts Converse Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
