GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Barton College football team (2-2) made a statement in its third and final game in a road stand Saturday night with a 45-7 win over Limestone (0-3) at The Reservation.

Jordan Terrell (Ramseur, N.C.), the leading rusher in NCAA Division II, added to his total with 256 yards on the ground on just 24 carries in the win. Terrell, who scored on touchdown runs of 49 and 55 yards, averaged 10.7 yards per carry in the win. Terrell averages 192.5 yards per game so far this year. Barton finished with 363 yards rushing on the night.

Kendarius Jenkins (Tarboro, N.C.), the team's leading tackler, rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs in the first half with a 95-yard interception touchdown return late in the second stanza as Barton built a 31-0 advantage at intermission and never looked back.
Barton pushed the lead to a 45-0 margin before Limestone finally got on the board when Josh Strickland (Leesville, S.C.) found Kodi Jones (Greenville, S.C.) for a 25-yard touchdown pass with just under four minutes to go in the contest.

Jaquan Lynch (Rocky Mount, N.C.) passed for 141 yards and two touchdowns to go along with one rushing score as the Bulldogs rolled up 504 yards of total offense in the win. Redshirt freshman wideout
Kameron Johnson (Rocky Mount, N.C.) opened the scoring with a 43-yard touchdown reception at the 4:57 mark of the first quarter and finished with three catches for 69 yards for the visitors.
On defense, Barton totaled four quarterback sacks and limited Limestone to just 210 yards of offense. Redshirt freshman linebacker
Shane Perry (Apex, N.C.) tallied a game-high eight tackles for the Bulldogs.
Barton finally returns home to face Carson-Newman on Saturday, October 2, at 2:00 p.m., at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium while Limestone travels to Salisbury, N.C., to take on Catawba next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
