WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (4-9, 4-5) suffered a setback to rival Mount Olive (6-3, 6-3), 3-0, Tuesday evening on Senior Night in Conference Carolinas action in the regular season finale at Wilson Gymnasium.

The Trojans won by scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-23 in the first meeting between the two schools this year.

Three players – Starr Sergent (Mililani, Hawai'i), Ele'sia Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) and Amara Eziakonwa (Tampa, Fla.) – all totaled six kills to lead the Trojans to the win.

Barton was led by senior outside hitter Kaytlin Elkins (Hope Mills, N.C.) with 13 kills while junior setter Sarah Kirk (Pearland, Texas) added a double-double – 28 assists and 14 digs – in the setback.   Barton, however, hit just 0.057 for the contest in seeing its three-match winning streak snapped.
