FLORENCE, S.C. – The Barton College baseball team (5-6) saw its three-game winning streak snapped with a 6-5 loss to Francis Marion (4-4) Tuesday evening at Sparrow Stadium.

Travious Ford (Greenville, N.C.) scored twice in the losing effort.
Francis Marion was led by Will Hardee (Evergreen, S.C.) with four hits and three runs batted in and Grayson Cottingham (Florence, S.C.) added a two-run double as the Patriots won their third straight game.
On the mound, Halton Hardy (Athens, Ga.) (1-0) allowed just three runs over seven innings of work for the win while Hardee pitched the ninth inning was credited with the save. Barton sophomore

Barton next hosts Ashland (Ohio) on Thursday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., at Fleming Stadium while Francis Marion hosts Claflin in a Peach Belt Conference game on Friday evening beginning at 1:00 p.m.
