GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (7-7) came up short to Limestone (8-4), 3-1, in a match-up between two former Conference Carolinas rivals Wednesday night at the Timken Center.
The Saints won by scores of 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 and 25-20 and increased their winning streak to six matches in the process.
Limestone was led by Francisco Salinger Cenzual (Cipolletti, ARGENTINA) with 13 kills while Matthew Anetrella (Windermere, Fla.) added a double-double – 11 kills and 10 digs – as the Saints totaled 14 blocks and avenged an earlier loss to the Bulldogs on Wednesday, February 10, at Wilson Gymnasium.
Barton was led by junior outside hitter
Adrian Iglesias (Guaynabo, PUERTO RICO) and sophomore outside hitter
Nathan Chaparro (Glendale, Ariz.) with 11 kills each but the Bulldogs had their two-match winning streak snapped. Freshman setter
