BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (5-6, 2-4) suffered a three-set loss to Lees-McRae (5-9, 3-4), 3-0, Friday evening at Williams Gymnasium in a Conference Carolinas contest.
The Bobcats won over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-12 and snapped a two-match losing streak in the process.
Lees-McRae was led by Natasha Colon Moreno (Juana Diaz, PUERTO RICO) with 11 kills and 12 digs, her fifth double-double on the year, while Carlee Allbaugh (Tallahassee, Fla.) added 31 assists as the home team limited the Bulldogs to a 0.086 hitting percentage in the win.

Allison Gambill (Taylorsville, N.C.) paced the visitors with 15 kills and 14 digs while senior setter
Sarah Kirk (Pearland, Texas) added 17 assists in the setback. Gambill continues to lead the league in kills per set (4.84).
In the next round of Conference Carolinas matches on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m., Barton faces King in Bristol, Tenn., while Lees-McRae hosts Chowan.
