MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (5-5, 2-3) picked up a 3-0 Conference Carolinas road sweep of Chowan (4-12) Tuesday evening at Bob Burke Court.
The Bulldogs won by scores of 25-22, 30-28 and 25-21 and moved back to .500 on the season.

Allison Gambill (Taylorsville, N.C.) led the way with a match-high 22 kills to go along with 12 digs while freshman libero
Brooke Clute (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) added 20 digs and three service aces in the victory. Gambill leads the league in kills (4.38 per set).
Senior setter
Sarah Kirk (Pearland, Texas) notched her fifth double-double on the year – 22 assists and 12 digs – for the Bulldogs, who shook off three set points by the Hawks in the second set.
Chowan was paced by Anixa Rosa-Martinez (San Lorenzo, PUERTO RICO) with 10 kills but the Hawks hit just .171 for the match in suffering their fifth straight loss.
Barton looks to keep its winning ways up when the Bulldogs travel to Banner Elk, N.C., to take on Lees-McRae Friday evening at 7:00 p.m., in a league match while Chowan takes on King in Bristol, Tenn., on Friday at 7:00 p.m., as well.
