WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (8-6, 7-4) was upset by Converse (8-8-2, 4-6-1), 1-0, on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the J. Burt Gillette Athletic Complex.
The Valkyries scored the lone goal of the match with just 2:22 left in the contest when Jaxon Keene (Lexington, S.C.) found the back of the net for his fifth score of the season as Converse won its second consecutive match.
Barton held a 12-7 advantage in shots taken but suffered its second straight loss. In goal, David Windmiller (Sautee, Ga.) made three saves and notched his fifth shutout of the year.

Jacob Randolph (Metairie, La.), was tagged with the loss after making a pair of saves.
Barton and Converse will next compete in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship which will take place beginning with the first round on Wednesday, November 3. The pairings will be announced later this weekend.
