WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College Football Team (5-4) celebrated Homecoming in impressive fashion with a dominant, 62-7 victory over Bluefield State (4-3) Saturday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Kameron Johnson (Rocky Mount, N.C.) caught a 31-yard touchdown pass just before halftime and returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score on the opening play of the second half as the Bulldogs scored 52 points in the second and third quarters to turn the contest into a rout.
Johnson's scoring catch gave the Bulldogs a 27-7 advantage at halftime and the floodgates opened after intermission as Barton scored four touchdowns in the third period.
Barton rushed for 361 yards including a 158-yard, two-touchdown performance on the ground by redshirt freshman running back
Jordan Terrell (Ramseur, N.C.). Terrell now has 1,440 yards rushing on the season. Redshirt freshman tailback
Malcolm Wilson (Salisbury, N.C.) added two touchdowns on the ground as well for the Bulldogs.
Barton held a 469-128 edge in total offense while the Bulldogs' defense forced four turnovers and sacked the quarterback three times in the win. Three of those turnovers led to 17 points for the home team.
Barton remains at home to take on Lenoir-Rhyne, an NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference power, in its home finale next Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Bluefield State hosts Saint Anselm on Saturday, November 13, at Noon.
