WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (5-2-1, 3-1-1) registered a season-high in goals on its way to a dominant, 6-0 victory over King (2-5, 1-3) Sunday morning in a Conference Carolinas match at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
Six players found the back of the net for the Bulldogs, who won their third straight match and scored their most goals since an 8-0 win over Regent on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Virginia Beach, Va.
Barton junior midfielder
Kassie Krul (Rockport, Maine) opened the scoring with a penalty kick at the 14:48 mark of the first half for her first goal of the season.

Caitlynn Bragg (Swansboro, N.C.) made it a 2-0 advantage entering intermission after finishing off a pass from freshman defender
Avery Vorholt (Fayetteville, N.C.) from the center of the field in the 36th minute. From there, the Bulldogs poured it on with four goals in the second half. The goal was also Bragg's first score of the year.
Both senior defender
Hailey Russell (Jacksonville, N.C.) and sophomore forward
Lexis Goldberg (Sanford, N.C.) scored their third goals of the year, respectively, after the break as the Bulldogs held a 37-2 advantage in shots taken in the win.
Barton junior goalkeeper
Rachel Cox (Wilson, N.C.) earned the shutout victory while King's goalkeeper, Erin Foster (Morristown, Tenn.), finished with 15 saves in the losing effort.
Barton remains at home to take on rival Mount Olive in a Conference Carolinas contest Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m., while King plays Southern Wesleyan on the road in Central, S.C., on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
