MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (7-4, 6-2) suffered a 1-0 loss to Chowan (9-2-1, 7-1-1) Wednesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas showdown at Hawks Field.
The Hawks received the lone goal from Sam Hall (Leicester, ENGLAND) at the 58:50 mark of the second half, his second score of the year.
Chowan, which held a 9-5 advantage in shots taken, maintained an outside shot at the league regular season championship.

Jacob Randolph (Metairie, La.) suffered the loss despite three saves on the afternoon.
Barton will look to bounce back on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Banner Elk, N.C., to take on Lees-McRae in a Conference Carolinas match beginning at 3:30 p.m. Chowan faces Erskine on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., in a league contest in Due West, S.C.
