WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (4-5, 1-3) suffered a 3-0 setback to North Greenville (9-6, 5-2) in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday morning at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Crusaders won by scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 25-17 and pushed their victory streak to three matches.
North Greenville was led by Abigail Durham (Easley, S.C.) with a match-high 13 kills while Ashlyn Conner (Dothan, Ala.) added 20 assists in the triumph as the Crusaders limited the Bulldogs to a .128 hitting percentage.
Barton was led by junior outside hitter
Allison Gambill (Taylorsville, N.C.) with 11 kills and six digs and junior setter
Megan McCain (New Port Richey, Fla.) totaled 13 assists and seven digs in the setback.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan on Tuesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., in Murfreesboro, N.C., while North Greenville hosts Lees-McRae on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., in a league contest.
