MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (6-5-2, 4-3-2) and Chowan (3-9-1, 3-6-1) played to a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes and two overtimes Tuesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Hawks Field.

Olivia Bronson (Gaithersburg, Md.) forced the match into extra sessions with a goal at the 59:29 mark of the second half – her second score of the year – after finding the top shelf just outside the box.
Chowan broke the scoreless tie when Sabrina Henderson (Lake Mary, Fla.) found the back of the net for her team-leading ninth goal of the year in the 26th minute.
The Hawks held a 14-10 advantage in shots taken while goalkeeper Allison Traub (Hamilton, Va.) allowed just one goal in 110 minutes to go along with four saves. Barton senior goalkeeper
Kristin Davis (Willow Spring, N.C.) held Chowan scoreless after starting the second half and playing through overtime in addition to four saves.
Barton remains on the road to take on Lees-McRae on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m., in Banner Elk, N.C., in a league match while Chowan plays Erskine in Due West, S.C., on Saturday morning at 10:00 p.m.
