WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (6-8, 3-6) pulled out a five-set win over Erskine (6-16, 3-7), 3-2, Friday night in Conference Carolinas action at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs won by scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-10, 20-25 and 15-12 to snap a two-match losing streak in the process.
Barton was led by freshman middle blocker
Lily Haaga (Herriman, Utah) with a team-high 18 kills while freshman outside hitter
Lauryn Pitt (Greenville, N.C.) added a dozen kills in the victory.

Sarah Kirk (Pearland, Texas) finished with 48 assists and 16 digs for her eighth double-double on the season and freshman libero
Brooke Clute (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) added 25 digs as the Bulldogs totaled nine service aces in the win.
Erskine was led by Meredith Hollinger (Belton, S.C.) with a match-high 26 kills and Laney Gaston (Anderson, S.C.) added 41 assists and 20 digs but the Flying Fleet lost its second straight five-set contest. Erskine was also limited to a .110 hitting percentage in the contest.
Barton remains at home to take on Emmanuel (Ga.) on Saturday at Noon in a league contest while Erskine travels to Murfreesboro, N.C., to face Chowan in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m.
