Ebony Campbell was named the Head Developmental/Assistant Coach of the Barton College Women’s Soccer Team in August of 2019.
Campbell comes to Barton from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, where she was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach in 2018 for one season. Campbell also served as the Head Coach for the ’09 girls’ soccer team at North Union United Soccer Club in Lewisburg, Pa. During her time at Susquehanna, Campbell helped lead the program to a 13-3-4 overall record where they won their first Landmark Conference title in school history, giving the program an automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Prior to coaching in Pennsylvania, Campbell was the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach and Goalkeeper Coach in 2017 at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa. During this time, she also served as a Goalkeeper Coach for Iowa Rush Soccer Club. Campbell began her coaching career in 2016 as the Assistant Girls’ Varsity Soccer Coach at Spoto High School in Riverview, Florida.
The accomplished goalkeeper brings collegiate experience from Iowa Central Community College where she played for two seasons. During her time at Iowa Central, Campbell earned a pair of NJCAA All-Region honors. She later transferred to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where she was ranked among the top 30 nationally for saves and 20th in the country for saves per game as a senior.
Campbell graduated with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from UT Permian Basin in 2016 after earning her degree in Elementary Education from Iowa Central in 2014. She is currently working toward a Master of Sports Administration – Coaching and Leadership Education from Upper Iowa University. Campbell serves as a Master Coach at Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls in East Otis, Massachusetts each summer. She also holds her U.S. Soccer Federation National E License and a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level III Diploma.
