Bella Iorio is beginning her first season as an Assistant Coach and Head Developmental Coach for the Barton Women's Soccer Team in 2020. 

Iorio comes to the Wilson, N.C., school after spending the past season as an Assistant for Concord (W.Va.).  Iorio helped lead the Mountain Lions to a 19-2 record last fall including a Mountain East Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

Iorio helped coach two Mountain Lions to All-American honors - Leah Foster and Mira Kontio - in addition to nine All-MEC picks and seven all-region selections.

Iorio played four years at UNC Asheville (2015-18) where she started 33 games over the final two seasons as a midfielder and was a team captain in 2017 and 2018.  Ioria, a native of Clayton, N.C., also played for the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2010 to 2013.  

Iorio graduated from UNC Asheville in 2019 with a degree in health and wellness promotion and earned her master's degree in Concord in May of 2021 in health promotion.  Iorio also coached at the Highland Futbol Club in Asheville, N.C.
