Regan Denham

Regan Denham joined the Barton staff as women’s lacrosse head coach in June of 2018 and is beginning her fifth year with the Bulldogs in 2022.  After four seasons, Denham has led Barton to a 31-22 mark and the young program has shown marked improvement.

Denham came to Barton with nearly a decade of collegiate head coaching experience that included stops at NCAA Division I program Liberty University, NCAA Division III members Gordon College and Springfield College and NAIA institution Missouri Baptist University.

Denham most recently served as girls’ lacrosse program director and physical education instructor at The First Academy in Orlando, Fla., where her team set a school record for wins and ranked as high as 23rd among all high schools in the state of Florida.

In addition to her coaching experience, Denham was also a standout player at NCAA Division III program Messiah College, where she was a four-time all-conference selection. In her career, she scored 153 goals and handed out 98 assists, totals that still rank among the top five on the school’s all-time list today.

Denham graduated from Messiah with a bachelor’s degree in history, and briefly served in assistant roles at Drew (N.J.) University and Averett (Va.) University before landing her first head coaching position at Missouri Baptist.

At Missouri Baptist, Denham started one of the first NAIA women’s lacrosse programs in the country and in just its second season of existence, led the Spartans to a winning record.

After completing a master’s degree in education at Missouri Baptist, Denham spent one season at Springfield (Mass.) where her team compiled a 12-6 record.

Denham then set her sights on starting another program from scratch:  NCAA Division I Liberty in 2009.  During her four seasons with the Flames, Denham produced a seven-win campaign in her second season of existence and eight victories in her final year with the program.

Denham then joined the staff at Gordon in 2014 where she served alongside current Barton men's lacrosse coach Warren Shumate.  Denham guided the Fighting Scots to 17 wins over two years before departing to Florida.

In addition to leading The First Academy’s success on the field, Denham helped develop a varsity feeder program and coached the Storm Select elite club team.
