Daniel Colvin will be entering his 19th season as Barton College assistant women’s basketball coach in 2020-21.

Colvin has been a key contributor to Barton’s greatest era of women’s basketball.  Over his 18 years with the club, the Bulldogs have compiled 11 20-win seasons, six conference regular season titles, two league tournament championships and eight NCAA Division II Playoff berths.

Colvin also served three seasons with the Bulldogs' men's program under former mentor Dave Davis.  Colvin was an Associate Head Coach at Craven Community College and Assistant Coach at East Wake High School in Wendell, N.C., in addition to spending times as a girls' coach in the AAU ranks.

Colvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a minor in religion and philosophy from Barton in 1992.  A four-year starter for the Bulldogs' men's basketball team, Colvin averaged in double figures for his collegiate career.

He earned a Master’s in Education from Arkansas State University and is currently working to fulfill requirements for a doctorate in education from Fayetteville State University.
