Kaitlin Ricklefs, MS, LAT, ATC, became an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Barton College prior to the 2017-18 school year after serving as Head Athletic Trainer for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League Independent Professional Baseball for the 2017 season.

At Barton, Ricklefs works with football, men's basketball, cheer and dance. She is also certified in SmartTools Blood Flow Restriction and Mental Health First Aid. 

Ricklefs currently teaches first-year seminar and within the Exercise Science Department with a course in Exercise and Disease as an adjunct professor at Barton.  Ricklefs also serves as an academic advisor for first-year students. 

Ricklefs received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Iowa State University.  As a student, Ricklefs worked with the Cyclones' gymnastics, tennis and football teams in addition to Ames High School and the Iowa State Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.

Ricklefs also served as a graduate assistant for three years at the University of Bridgeport where she worked closely with the women's soccer, men's basketball, softball and women's lacrosse teams while assisting with the women's basketball and baseball programs.  At Bridgeport, Ricklefs received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture.

A native of Webster City, Iowa, Ricklefs enjoys traveling, cooking, baking and attending sporting events in her free time.
