Josh Hayes

Josh Hayes is beginning his third year as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Barton in 2020-21 after spending a season (2017-18) as an Assistant Coach at Emmanuel College (Mass.).

Hayes started his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Junius H. Rose High School in Greenville, N.C. in 2011-12.  A year later, Hayes relocated to become an Assistant Coach at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass., where he was part of a staff that coached ten NCAA Division I players.

Hayes started his college coaching career during the 2013-14 season at Fitchburg State University under current coach Titus Manderson.  After one season at FSU, Hayes served as Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, N.C.  Hayes helped lead Terry Sanford to the 2015 3A North Carolina High School State Championship.  Hayes then spent two years as Head Coach at Southern Alamance High School in Graham, N.C.

Hayes played one year at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C., during the 2010-11 season and led the Monarchs in assists and three-point field goals.  Hayes also spent one season at the University of Wyoming as a scout team player under Heath Schroyer.  As a prep player, Hayes participated in the EBBL Turkish 3 league training camps.

Hayes is married to the former, Tia Beasley.  The couple has one daughter.
