Jawann Baker is entering his first year as an Assistant Coach for the Barton men's basketball team in 2025-26.

Baker previously served as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., for the past four years (2021-25).and coached a pair of All-CIAA selections.

Prior to Shaw, Baker coached at Wake Technical Coummunity College (Raleigh, N.C.) for three years (2018-21) and helped guide the Eagles to the 2019 NJCAA Region X Conference Championship and a berth in the national tournament.

Baker also coached at the prep level, serving National Assistant Boy's Basketball Coach at World of God Academy (2015-17) and Bull City Prep (2012-15).

Baker graduated from Liberty University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a concentration in life coaching.
